Module 1 - Strategic Management
This module will evaluate and appraise the strategic approaches utilised by organisations, whatever their size or sector of activity. The view that strategy is seen as the long-term direction of an organisation and these three critical elements of the strategy formulation are explored in depth.
Module 2 - Managing Operations and Processes
This module explores the diverse range of activities involved in the management of operations and business processes whether internally within the organisation or across the global supply chain. The module will explore the functional activities such as the management of capacity and demand or quality to more strategic initiatives involving the design, planning and control of business operations.
Module 3 - Managing Human Resources
This module will explore the practical implications of the human resource management policies and examine how people are the key resource all organisational success. Whilst there will be a focus upon functional activities such as the recruitment, selection, development, retention and reward of employees, the role of HR at the ‘top table’ will be explored in some detail.
Module 4 - Managing Corporate Finance
Studying on this module will allow you to develop a deep understanding of the key principles of financial accounting, management accounting and finance. These principles will be studied in the context of real world organizations with a critical focus upon the levels of analysis and interpretation of financial information.
Module 5 - Managing Marketing
This module will help you develop and implement marketing plans and strategies across a range of sectors in both domestic and international markets. A key element of marketing activity is the analysis and evaluation of promotion and sales techniques and strategies and these will be explored using real world case examples.
Module 6 - Digital Disruptive Innovation
The module offers a comprehensive exploration of disruptive innovation in the digital era. It scrutinises how emerging technologies, notably AI, reshape markets and challenge established business models. Students gain the ability to identify opportunities for digital disruption within their industries, focusing on leveraging technology to create innovative value propositions or enhance existing ones. Emphasising strategic responses, the module equips organisations with strategies to adapt, evolve, and maintain competitiveness in a dynamic landscape. Real-world case studies illustrate practical applications of digital technologies and AI across various sectors, including education, finance, and healthcare.
Module 7 - Business Coaching
Designed to equip individuals with the knowledge and skills necessary to become effective business coaches. It covers a range of key areas, including coaching principles, communication techniques, and leadership development. Students gain a deep understanding of coaching psychology and its application in the business context. The module focuses on fostering strong coaching relationships, enhancing active listening abilities, and using powerful questioning techniques to facilitate personal and professional growth in coachees. Furthermore, it delves into leadership coaching, helping participants guide individuals and teams towards achieving organisational goals. Practical exercises and real-world case studies provide hands-on experience, allowing students to develop their coaching competencies. Module 8 - Research Methods
The module is designed to provide a comprehensive understanding of the fundamental principles and techniques involved in conducting rigorous academic research. It encompasses a range of essential topics, including research design, data collection methods, data analysis, and interpretation. Students learn to formulate research questions, select appropriate methodologies, gather and analyze data, and draw meaningful conclusions. The module strongly emphasises qualitative and quantitative research methodologies, enabling students to choose the most suitable approach for their research inquiries. Additionally, ethical considerations in research are explored, ensuring that students adhere to responsible research practices. Through practical exercises and projects, participants acquire the essential skills needed for successful academic and professional research endeavours.
Thesis
This module is the culmination of the programme of study that requires you to undertake independent research that links theory to practice. The dissertation is designed for continual feedback throughout the module, with you having access to an individual online supervisor to enable close interaction. Research methods training will be provided to allow you to have a deep understanding of the approaches that can be taken. If you are opting for a specialism pathway, then the research for the dissertation must be undertaken in the chosen area of specialism.

We believe cost shouldn’t be a barrier to achieving your potential. That’s why we work hard to keep the cost of study as low as possible and have a wide range of flexible ways to pay to help spread the cost.
A qualification comprises a series of modules, added together, they give you the total cost.
Fees are paid on a monthly, quarterly, bi-annual or yearly basis – meaning you won't have to pay for the whole of your qualification up front.
Most of our students study part time at a rate of ***** credits a year..
This means, at current prices, the typical cost would be €6,500 per year giving a total cost of €13,000 for your qualification.

How will I study this course?
With our unique approach to distance learning, you can study from home, work or on the move.
You’ll have some assessment deadlines to meet, but otherwise, you’ll be free to study at the times that suit you, fitting your learning around work, family, and social life.
For each of your modules, you’ll use either just online resources or a mix of online and printed materials.
Each module you study will have a module website usingMoodlewith
a week-by-week study planner, giving you a step-by-step guide through your studies
course materials such as reading, videos, recordings, and self-assessed activities
module forums for discussions and collaborative activities with other students
details of each assignment and their due dates
a tutorial booking system, online tutorial rooms, and your tutor’s contact details
online versions of some printed module materials and resources.
If you have additional needs, we can also provide most module materials in alternative formats.
Tutor support
You’ll have a tutor for each module, who will introduce themselves before the module begins.
Throughout the module, they will:
mark your assignments and give feedback to help you improve
guide you to learning resources
support you, whether with general study skills or help with a specific topic.
Tutorials
Tutorials usually take place online, and they’re always optional.
Online tutorials are live presentations with module tutors in dedicated online tutorial rooms and are recorded so that you can watch at a time convenient to your schedule.
Assessment
Our assessments are all designed to reinforce your learning and help you show your understanding of the topics. The mix of assessment methods will vary between modules.
Computer-Marked Assignments
Usually, a series of online, multiple-choice questions.
Tutor-Marked Assignments
You’ll have a number of these throughout each module, each with a submission deadline.
They can be made up of essays, questions, experiments or something else to test your understanding of what you have learned.
Your tutor will mark and return them to you with detailed feedback.
End-of-Module Assessments
The final, marked piece of work on most modules.
Modules with an end-of-module assessment won’t usually have an exam.
Exams
Some modules end with an exam. You’ll be given time to revise and prepare.
You’ll be given your exam date at least 5 months in advance.
Most exams take place remotely, and you will complete them at home or at an alternative location.
If a module has an in-person exam (that you must take at one of our exam centres) or is invigilated online, we’ll make this clear in the module description.
